FAQ

Questions we get asked.

A few of the ones that come up most. If yours is not here, ring the office — we would rather talk it through than have you guess.

What types of air conditioning system are there?

Single-split (one indoor unit, one outdoor) for a single room; multi-split (several indoor units on one outdoor unit) for a few rooms; and ducted, where one outdoor unit feeds concealed indoor units and ducting to every room in the house.

The light on my air conditioner is flashing and it won't run.

That is often a power surge. Turn the power off and back on at the circuit breaker to reset the system. If it keeps flashing, call the office and we will book a service call.

My air conditioner has become very noisy inside. What should I do?

Try cleaning the return air filter — a blocked filter makes the system noisy. Take it outside, wash it down with a hose, let it dry completely and reinstall it. Do not vacuum it. If the noise stays, book a service call.

How quickly can you get to a breakdown?

Breakdowns are triaged the day you call. Commercial refrigeration with stock at risk goes to the top of the list; domestic breakdowns get the next available slot and you are told when that is.

Do you charge for a quote?

New air conditioning systems are measured and quoted before you commit to anything. Diagnostic work on an existing system is charged as a service call, and you are told the price before we start.

Which brands do you install?

Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Actron Air, Braemar, Temperzone and more. We only install brands we are happy to be called back to.

Still stuck?

Ring the office.

Most things can be sorted over the phone in a couple of minutes — and if it needs a technician, we will book it while you are on the line.
